Many of us in the digital product space are juggling multiple responsibilities, with some including full-time jobs, while also running our businesses as a side hustle to earn extra income. With so much on our plate, it’s easy to succumb to burnout.

Burnout is a state of emotional, physical, and mental exhaustion caused by excessive and prolonged stress. It can make you feel emotionally drained, overwhelmed, and unmotivated. And, if left unchecked, it can have a negative impact on your health, your relationships, and your business.

Here are some tips to help you avoid burnout and maintain a healthy work-life balance, even if you have a full-time job:

Prioritize self-care: Taking care of yourself is essential to avoid burnout. Make sure you’re getting enough sleep, eating healthily, and exercising regularly. Take breaks throughout the day to stretch, walk, or meditate.

Set boundaries: As a digital product seller with a full-time job, it’s important to set clear boundaries around your work schedule and stick to them. Don’t work during your off-hours or on weekends, unless it’s absolutely necessary.

Top tip: If you have an Etsy store set up the out of hours auto response. It still counts towards your star seller progress and helps communicate to customers when you will be online next.

Outsource tasks: You don’t have to do everything yourself. Consider outsourcing tasks that don’t require your specific expertise or that you don’t enjoy doing. It can free up time for you to focus on the things you love doing.
