Hi Friend,

ย

Wow, what a start to the week! Canโ€™t believe Easter is around the corner already. Are you ready for an exciting Easter competition that could see you win some CHA-CHING. Surprise ๐Ÿ˜Š Look no further than our upcoming Easter competition running from 1 April to the 9th. We have some hidden surprises open exclusively to our members!

ย

Today I wanted to talk to you about trends.

Letโ€™s start with what trends are and why you should pay attention to them if you are just starting out.

ย

Trends are short-term popular items, for instance, social posts in a particular colour theme or style. The reason it is important to pay attention to trends whilst building your store is that they have high search volumes and lower competition. This means that even in a saturated niche, by using trends, you can drive traffic to your store and increase your overall views and sales.

ย

You should ideally have a mix in your store of trending and non-trending or โ€˜foundationalโ€™ products so that the trends bring people to your stores, and they also look at the non-trending products, which can result in higher sales and lifting up all of your products in the search rankings.

ย

Every Thursday we share the Trends Thursday post with our community, and we get lots of questions.

ย

Yes, we know that sometimes they donโ€™t make sense to you – honestly, sometimes the way the sentences are formed often donโ€™t make sense to me either!ย ๐Ÿคฃ

ย

However, if you look up these keyword phrases, this should give you a better understanding of the items that are trending for these terms.

ย

Some pointers.

ย

Stay informed: As you know, we love using Insight factory to keep up with the latest trends. We try to bring to you every week โ€˜beginner friendly trendsโ€™ so that you can jump on to whatโ€™s working with minimal competition – so that you can get your foot in the door in your niche.

ย

Use the exact keyword phrases: When you see the trends, ensure that if there is something you want to rank for, for that trend – you have the exact keyword phrase at the beginning of your title.

ย

Be authentic: While it’s important to stay on-trend, don’t sacrifice your unique style and brand identity in the process if you feel it doesnโ€™t work in your store. Customers are attracted to authenticity, so make sure your products stand out in the market and flows with your niche and store.

ย

Experiment: Try out new trends and see how they perform in your shop. If something isn’t resonating with your customers, don’t be afraid to pivot and try something new.

ย

Plan ahead: Look ahead to upcoming trends and plan your product releases. An example is you did St Patricks day invites and games. Ensure you know what holidays and events you know are coming up and be ready for the next run like Easter.ย  This will give you a head start on the competition and help you stay relevant in a rapidly changing marketplace.

ย

By staying informed, using the trending keywords, being authentic, experimenting, and planning ahead, you can stay ahead of the curve when it comes to Etsy trends and build a successful Etsy business.

.

HOW are they doing that?

Were you wondering how people were using Disney and other popular graphics In Etsy.

ย

Using Disney images on Etsy or any other platform without permission or a license from Disney can be a copyright infringement and is against the law. Disney, like many other companies, protects its intellectual property rights, which include its characters, designs, logos, and other creations.

ย

Disney has the legal right to act against anyone who uses its intellectual property without permission. However, there are some sellers on Etsy who use Disney-inspired designs that are not identical to the original Disney characters or designs, and they may argue that their products are not infringing on Disney’s intellectual property rights. Some sellers also obtain licenses or permission from Disney or use authorized Disney merchandise to create new products.

ย

If you’re planning to sell products on Etsy that feature Disney images or characters, it’s important to do your research and understand the copyright laws and trademark policies that apply. It’sย not recommendedย to use Disney images or characters without permission and buying the right to do so, as this can result in legal action and consequences for your business. Instead, consider creating original designs and creating your own characters or seek out licensed products or partnerships with Disney the right way.
