A huge part of the wedding niche is the tion. One of the first things people search for when they start planning their wedding – but if yoan catch a customer at the save the date stage you could be lucky enough to also work with them for their main invitation, reception stationery, thank you cards and even baby announcements (yes this has happened!)
A lot of people think that a wedding invitation is simply a one-page card, but there are so many items you can add to create a pack that really stands out and is special. Here is the anatomy of a wedding invitation.
ย Save the Date:ย A pre-invitation notice sent to guests well in advance of the wedding, usually including the date and location, to ensure they can mark their calendars and make necessary arrangements.ย
Wedding Invitation:ย The formal invitation to the wedding ceremony and reception, providing guests with all the essential details such as date, time, and venue.
Details Card:ย An additional card included with the wedding invitation that provides extra information, such as directions to the venue, accommodation options, or dress code.
Wishing Well Card:ย A card that politely informs guests of the couple’s preference for monetary gifts or contributions to a wishing well or honeymoon fund instead of traditional physical gifts.
No Kids Card:ย A card that communicates the couple’s decision to have an adults-only wedding, politely requesting that guests do not bring children to the event.
Website Card:ย A card that directs guests to the couple’s wedding website, where they can find more detailed information, updates, and possibly RSVP online.
RSVP Card:ย A card included with the invitation that guests fill out and return to indicate whether they will attend the wedding, often including meal preferences.
Bellyband:ย A decorative band that wraps around the invitation suite to hold all the components together neatly, often matching the wedding theme or colors.
Envelope Liner:ย A decorative inner lining for the invitation envelope, adding an extra touch of elegance and coordinating with the invitation design.
Envelope Addressing (back + front):ย The process of beautifully addressing the envelopes, often in calligraphy or matching fonts, with the guest’s address on the front and the return address on the back flap.
Vellum Wrap Pattern: A translucent paper wrap with a pattern or design, used to encase the invitation suite, adding a layer of sophistication and texture.

The key to any search engine-based site is to have a great volume of products(I know I say that a lot, but its key). With invitations, I like to list each item individually and then in a bundle as well (at a higher price). Sometimes I will also create different tiers of bundles depending on how many items I have in my collection.
